WALT DISNEY RECORDS

(Redirected from Disneyland Records)

'Walt Disney Records' is a record company and part of The Walt Disney Company.
The label was established in 1956 under the name 'Disneyland Records'; its first release was ''A Child's Garden of Verses''. The company changed to its current name in 1989. Most of its output is mainly children's music and recordings, mostly based on (or around) Disney cartoons (it has also produced recordings that do not involve any Disney characters, such as the "Children's Favorites" series). It's repertoire includes both read along records as well as full length albums.
It broke records with the release of the soundtracks to ''High School Musical 2'', ''High School Musical'', ''The Cheetah Girls'', ''The Cheetah Girls 2'', and ''Hannah Montana'' in 2006, which sold platinum many times over.
In Japan, the label releases soundtracks, compilations and music from the Tokyo Disney Resort theme parks under distribution by Avex Trax.
