In this story, Patti invites Doug over for dinner with the rest of the gang and Doug is thrilled. It's a dream come true for Doug until Patti tells Doug she will be serving liver and onions (one of Doug's most hated foods). Doug tries everything (including hypnosis) to overcome his fear, but nothing works. When Doug and his family go out to eat at their favorite restaurant, Doug orders liver and onions and manages to eat the whole dish, now believes he's ready to eat the liver with Patti. In the end, she reveals she was just joking and it's hot dogs and fries.

Doug Meets Fentruck

In this story, An exchange student from Yakestonia named Fentruck Stimmel comes to live in Bluffington and attend the Bluffington School. But after Fentruck asks Doug to help him write a letter, Doug begins to suspect that the new kid may have eyes for Patti.
