In this story, Doug unintentionally spends all of his money on a video arcade game "Bag a Neematoad", and now he can't buy Patti a beetball as a birthday present. Mrs. Dink suggests that Doug make Patti a present, so he does, making a contraption out of wood and rods. Even though Doug has no idea what he's made, he wraps it up and takes it to the party.
While everyone else has given Patti assorted beetballs (including a zebra striped one and a beetball that glows in the dark), it turns out that Doug's contraption is something useful after all: a beetball caddy.

Doug VS The Klotzoid Zombies

In this story, Roger invites everyone over to his house except for poor Doug, who begins to feel left out. Doug later imagines himself as Quailman battling Dr. Klotzenstein, the mad scientist who turns all Bluffington citizens into mindless zombies with his zombie chips. Doug then faces Roger at his trailer to discover he has organized a one year anniversary party for Doug, celebrating his first year living in Bluffington.
The game show that Dr. Klotzenstein hosts is known as Wheel of Snack Food, or simply Wheel of Snacks. This, and the audience cheering "Wheel...of...Snack Food!" at the beginning is a direct parody of Wheel of Fortune.
