LIST OF STAR WARS CAPITAL SHIPS
(Redirected from Droid Control Ship)
The following is a list of fictional starships, cruisers, battleships, and other capital ships seen in the ''Star Wars'' saga.
The '''Aramadia''-class thrustship' was a fictional spaceship in the ''Star Wars'' Expanded Universe. It was created by the Yevethan aliens and actively participated in naval engagements in the Black Fleet Crisis. It was externally a silver ''sphere'' that was 240 meters in diameter. There were two models: an unarmed troop transport and an armed warship. They were both propelled by Aradian pulse-lifters. They were designated as "Yevethan T-type" by New Republic Intelligence, also called "Fat Men" by other Naval officers. They tended to have less firepower than other vessels of the same length, but had increased shielding. The spherical plane of the vessel allow for maximal shielding power with minimal input energy, as the geometry of the vessel greatly enhanced the shielding capabilities.
The armed class carried eight turbolaser batteries as primary weapons, that were rated at medium-cruiser class. They also have four ten-tube missile launchers that can be reloaded. There were also half a dozen ion cannons for disrupting hostile electronic systems. However, the batteries are weak, and it takes prolonged barrages to kill a ''Warrior''-class gunship (see New Class program), as demonstrated in the Battle of ICL-905. Forty Yevethan fighters are carried onboard in four hangar bays.
It needed 6,810 Yevethans and 49 gunners to operate the weapons. The unarmed transport could carry 16,000 troops or 100 thousand metric tons of cargo. They could not externally differentiated from the transport or warship class... to quote Colonel Mauit'ta of the New Republic Fifth Fleet: "...there are two versions of the Yevethan T-type - one a capital warship, and the other an unarmed transport. At this point, we're still looking for tipoffs to give to your sensor crews. But we believe the risks could be justified by a rule of thumb: Don't bother firing on any targets that aren't firing on you."
Examples are the ''Tholos'' and ''Rizaron''.
The 'Arc Hammer' is an Imperial factory ship featured in the game . It resembles a generic Star Destroyer, except that it has two large columns on either side, and no bridge structure. Being a secret initiative, this factory made frequent hyperspace jumps, and only certain Imperial ships (like the Executor) knew its exact position at any given time. This vessel, as well as the Darktrooper project itself, was commanded by General Rom Mohc.
This was the factory where the infamous Dark Troopers were built: large, more powerful robotic versions of Imperial Stormtroopers. Following the successful theft of the Death Star plans, the mercenary and Rebel sympathizer Kyle Katarn was assigned to investigate the loss of an Alliance base. While there, Katarn discovered a large gun, too cumbersome to be efficiently wielded by a regular Stormtrooper.
Eventually, after investigating various secret Imperial factories and weapons scientists, he learned of the Darktrooper project and snuck aboard the Arc Hammer during a cargo transfer. He later destroyed the Hammer by placing sequencer charges in exhaust ports throughout the ship. Darth Vader watched the destruction of the Arc Hammer from the bridge of the Executor. He referred to the destruction as "an unfortunate setback" for the Empire.
the arc hammer also makes a appearance in the Empire at War game along with its expansion Forces of Corruption.
Though the Mon Calamari Star Cruisers may have filled the Rebel needs for capital ships, rebel engineers still needed large support ships. They decided to look to past models; the Dreadnought Cruiser was where they started. After they finished it had extensive automation so it could operate in under 5000, less than a third of the dreadnought's standard crew complement.
Rebel engineers saw room for improvement, thus came the "Assault Frigate Mark II." Now with Mon Calamari shield subsystems allowing them to boost shield strength without burning out the shield generators.
Though the Mark I was more common the Mark II still played a large role in the Galactic civil war. Eventually the Mark II project was abandoned, but it was still used by independent shipyards.
The 'Banking Clan Cruiser', formally referred to as the ''Munificent''-class Star Frigate is a fictional starship from the Star Wars saga, created for . It is also seen in Star Wars Battlefront II as a Confederacy of Independent Systems frigate.
Following the outbreak of the Clone Wars on Geonosis, the various super-corporations beefed up their forces to combat the Army of the Republic. The Intergalactic Banking Clan introduced a warship to the fleet of the Confederacy of Independent Systems to aid their cause. Rumor has it that this class of Cruiser was once a Mandalorian Class that was given to the Banking Clan by Jango Fett.
The ships are extensively equipped with communications and jamming systems, leading many to refer to them as "communications frigates." At over 800 meters in length they are small for ships designated "cruisers," similar to the ''Dreadnought''-class Star Frigates, which are termed "Heavy Cruisers" in many sector fleets. Their dual heavy turbolasers are fixed forward, giving them an incredibly heavy punch but less flexibility compared to other frigate class warships (most of which do not mount heavy turbolasers).
Thousands of Banking Clan Cruisers were deployed during the Battle of Coruscant. Its Turbolaser batteries put up a brave fight against the might of the Republic's Star Destroyers and Jedi Starfighter squadrons.
The 'Bothan assault cruiser' was an 850-meter-long warship in the fictional Star Wars Universe. It had a crew of 1,240, could carry up to 250 passengers, and boasted 20 heavy turbolasers, 24 light turbolasers, 10 enhanced ion cannons, 20 proton torpedo tubes, and 4 Class III tractor beam projectors. Its firepower is nearly equal to that of a far larger ''Imperator I''-class Star Destroyer and has a fast Class I hyperdrive. It also has a stunningly small crew for such a large warship, unlike the nearly 39,000 crewmembers needed to fully operate an Imperial Star Destroyer. In addition, it has defensive capabilities that are nearly ''twice'' as much as those of a Mark I Imperial Star Destroyer, and is still superior to even the advanced Mark II Imperial Star Destroyer.
However, one of its main flaws is the lack of ground forces onboard. It only carries 250 ground troops, while an Imperial Star Destroyer carries 8,000 stormtroopers and dozens of walkers and artillery pieces.
Regardless, the Bothan Assault Cruiser represents a new era in Star Wars capital ship: a high firepower-to-length ratio, a small crew, and few ground troopers. After all, its primary purpose is starship-to-starship battling, not the multipurpose objective of the ''Imperator'', which is both starship combat and ground support. These features make the Bothan Assault Cruiser a unique ship in its own right.
The 'Bulk Cruiser' is a ship used by the Old Republic in the Clone Wars and even before that. The Bulk Cruiser is small very powerful, easy to maintain, and all things considered not very fulfilling of its name. The Empire also used them.
The '''Carrack''-class Light Cruiser' is a light cruiser and a fleet support ship that has been a part of the Imperial Starfleet since the earliest days of Palpatine's New Order.
The ''Carrack''-class is 350 meters long and armed with 10 heavy turbolasers, 20 ion cannons and 5 tractor beam projectors, and has a crew of around 1000. Some variants are equipped with 20 quad laser cannons in place of the 20 ion cannons; a modification designed to further improve the class' already formidable anti-starfighter capabilities (but at the cost of effectiveness in capital ship engagements). The standard ''Carrack'' possesses no hangar bay, but can be fitted with an external rack capable of carrying 5 TIE fighters- typically they are so outfitted, and the TIE fighters were reconnaissance varieties.
In addition, the cruisers were one of the few Imperial starship designs possessing features designed to safeguard the lives of the ship's crew. A compartment system inside the hull provided extra protection against the dangers of hull breaches, and it was common to find survivors on board the wreckage of these vessels.
''Carrack''-class light cruisers are still part of the present day Imperial Starfleet, which consists of just over 200 Star Destroyers and support ships. The Imperial 3rd fleet consists of 4 Imperial Star Destroyers and a flotilla of ''Carrack''-class ships.
Carrack-class cruisers are not featured in any of the six Star Wars films, but the novelization for '' states that these craft were in use during the Battle of Coruscant.
Carrack cruisers were some of the most versatile cruisers available, used in roles as varied as protecting Bakura from the Ssi-Ruuk incursion, to acting as personal transports for important personages like Imperial Moffs, to being outfitted with special cannons to destroy the interstellar plankton of the Oswaft of the interstellar ThonBoka nebula.
Carrack cruisers also feature heavily in Star Wars PC games such as ''TIE Fighter''. There they proved to be vulnerable to starfighter attacks but much more durable than Corvettes.

The 'Chu'unthor' was originally designed as a mobile Jedi school. The Jedi Master Yoda headed up the construction of the ship, which the Jedi Order had specially built 400 years before the events of ''. From the outside, the Chu'unthor is large, flat, and asymmetrical. The interior of the ship consisted partly of meditation rooms, lightsaber sparring rooms, and observation bubbles; the rest of the interior space was devoted to a bridge, engine section, a docking bay, and a large meeting/mess hall.
The Chu'unthor was lost when Yoda and several other Masters took it on a voyage to the small planet Dathomir. The force witches on the planet pulled the ship down through the atmosphere. Luckily, the Jedi on board were able to escape using the on board evac-ships after Yoda convinced the natives of the planet to allow them to leave. In exchange Yoda left the data tapes of the ship in the care of a native and told her that eventually a young man would have need of the tapes.
The remains of the ship were later discovered by Jedi Master Luke Skywalker when he visited the planet (four years after the events of ''). He was able to contact the now elderly native who held the ship's Jedi archives. With the knowledge he gained from the archives he finally had a foundation to begin his Jedi Academy on Yavin 4.
The '''Recusant''-class Light Destroyer' - known commonly as the Commerce Guild Destroyer - was a vessel used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the events known as the "Clone Wars" that took place within the fictional Star Wars universe. The ''Recusant'' was mass-produced by zealous workers led by Techno Union foremen, using materials from Commerce Guild worlds. The Commerce Guild Destroyer was manufactured by Hoersch-Kessel Drive and Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps. During the Clone Wars, large numbers of this vessel were built, destroyed in battle, and replaced. Recusants were often used to carry out raids on Loyalist commercial shipping, though in large number, such craft were deadly. Four to six Commerce Guild Destoyers could defeat a Republic ''Venator''-class Star Destroyer or ''Victory''-class Star Destroyer. However, it would take 1,000 Recusants to engage a Kuat Drive Yards ''Mandator''-II Star Dreadnought.
Being in part a product of the Mon Calamari (whose homeworld is commonly referred to as Calamari, but is called Dac in the local language), these ships bear a passing resemblance to the Mon Calamari Star Cruisers of the later Rebel Alliance.
The ''Recusant'', like the vast majority of the Confederacy's warships, was largely controlled by automated droid brain technology. As a result, little crew space was required. This gave the Commerce Guild Destroyer a sinister, skeletal appearance. It was not equipped with hangars for ground based forces, but carried about 40,000 battle droids for boarding actions. The ''Recusant'' also carried starfghters for fleet engagements and was armed with 1 prow heavy turbolaser; 4 heavy turbolaser cannons; 6 heavy turbolaser turrets; 5 turbolaser cannons; 30 dual laser cannons; 12 dual light laser cannons and 60 point-defense laser cannons.
The 'Corellian Gunship' is a 120-meter long capital starship in the fictional Star Wars Universe, produced by Corellian Engineering Corporation. It terms of firepower, it is far more efficient than its brother: the CR90 Corellian Corvette, otherwise known as the ''Tantive''-class corvette or the "Rebel blockade runner". It has a slightly better sublight speed than the Corellian Corvette, with a velocity of 7 Space Units. It has a standard Class 2 hyperdrive for superluminal travel. It can travel 1,000 kilometers per hour in atmosphere, and has a maneuverability of 2D. It has an optimal crew of 91 (a minimal of 10), which can survive 8 months on the stores carried on the vessel. It also can carry 300 metric tons of material. It can be bought brand-new for 4.8 million credits, and can purchased for half that price secondhand.
The Corellian Gunship is armed with 8 double turbolaser cannons, 4 concussion missile tubes, and 6 quad laser cannons. It is the most heavily armed corvette (100-200 meters long), and can outgun an Interdictor cruiser and a Lancer frigate on a 1-on-1 battle. It also has firepower a bit less than half of a ''Strike''-class medium cruiser, which is more than 3.5 times larger.
However, this warship pays a price for its extensive weaponry. Nearly fifty meters are eaten up by its engines, and the rest are consumed by the control deck, weapons, and control computers. It has precious little room for soldiers or cargo, like the Corellian Corvette, which could carry ten times more in its vast internal compartments.
While the Corellian Engineering Corporation intended for this formidable vessel to be a rapid anti-starfighter platform, it easily fufills a secondary role of attacking, and successfully neutralizing larger capital vessels.
The 'Doomgiver' is a capital transport spaceship in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. It appears in the computer game ''.
The ''Doomgiver'' is the flagship of Admiral Galak Fyyar, a military scientist in the Imperial Remnant; it is similar to a Mark 2 Imperial Star Destroyer, but with several differences - its ventral surface was made of detachable landing pods, its prow was forked in two, it was specially modified to carry Reborn and ''Shadowtroopers'', and it was quite a bit longer laterally. It is first seen docked in Cairn Station, an asteroid base in the Lenico Belt. The Doomgiver made its way to the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4. However, Kyle Katarn managed to sneak onboard before it launched. His activities included rescuing Jan Ors, summoning Rogue Squadron, shutting down its deflector shields, killing Galak Fyyar and evacuating before the Rogue Squadron finished the ship off. The ''Doomgiver'' is destroyed, but not before several invasion pods can descend onto the moon surface.
It is possible that the ship was named after the sword Doomgiver, an important artifact in Fred Saberhagen's Book of Swords trilogy.
Main articles: Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser
The 'Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser', in the Star Wars science fantasy , is a type of large, heavy cruiser starship commissioned by the Old Republic. They were 600 meters long and, at the time of their construction, were the largest ships built by the post-Ruusan Republic until the development of the ''Victory''-class Star Destroyer.
Even though they were the core of the pre-clone war fleet, the ships themselves were poorly designed with only 1 turbolaser and a number of laser turrents, but their greatest flaw was the massive 20,000 man crew needed to man each one.
The largest known fleet of these warships has been the Katana Fleet, which contained 200 ships, but shortly after the formation of the fleet, it made a jump to hyperspace and was presumed lost until it was found (completely accidentally) by the smuggler Talon Karrde and 5 of his companions. Though Talon Karrde was the only one of his crew to realize what they had stumbled upon, because he was working the nav computer at the time. The rest of the crew thought that the Imperials had followed them and immediately made a second jump.
The most important battleship in the Trade Federation blockade at Naboo was the Droid Control Ship. Appearing very similar to the standard battleship -- a flattened ring shape with engines at the aft, docking claws at the fore, and a large detachable sphere in the center -- the Droid Control Ship was easily distinguished by the clustered array of transmitters and receiver antennae on its dorsal surface.
The ''Endar Spire'' is, in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, a Republic vessel that served during the Jedi Civil War, in the award-winning Role playing Video Game, .
Not as grand or as powerful as most of the pre-Malachor V Republic capital ships, vessels during the second half of the civil war appeared to be little more than modified transport vehicles, somewhat similar to the later Consular-class Space Cruiser and Corellian Corvette. Its only armament appears to have been a quartet of twin Turbolasers mounted on fins above, below, and beside the bridge. This was likely the result of a combination between the expended resources in the war against Revan, and the fact that Revan absconded with most, if not all, of the Republic's former capital ships, such as the ''Leviathan''. However, the ''Harbinger'', a vessel of this class featured prominently in Knights of the Old Republic II, was seen firing a trio of laser cannons mounted on the side of the primary hull. (Presumably there was another trio of these cannons mounted on the starboard side of the ship as well.) It is possible that all such cruisers were equipped with these secondary weapons, or that the Harbinger was simply a later model that had additional weaponry.
The ''Endar Spire'' was one of these later capital ships. It was crewed by Republic soldiers and was assigned to carry skilled pilot and decorated war hero Carth Onasi and Jedi Bastila Shan, along with another important passenger, whose identity was kept a secret, but was later revealed to be the fomer Darth Revan. The ''Endar Spire'' is ambushed above the Sith-occupied world of Taris and is destroyed. Before the destruction, however, numerous escape pods manage to slip out of the ship, evade the s and crash onto the surface of Taris. While the ultimate fates of most of the crew aboard the escape pods were unpleasant, Bastila Shan, Carth Onasi, and the former Revan survive the crash and escape from Taris.
The Endar Spire is a 'Hammerhead' class heavy cruiser. The wreckage of a similar ship is visible on a beach on Rakata Prime. This wreckaged is most likely Revan's and Malak's former ship.
The 500-meter 'escort carrier' is a starfighter carrier produced by Kuat Drive Yards. It holds a wing of 72 starfighters (TIE fighters, X-wings, etc...), and also carries ten twin laser cannons for light anti-fighter defense. However, it is extraordinarily vulnerable against enemy capital vessels, and is almost always escorted by another vessel when coming into a combat situation. However, in peaceful areas, it is called upon along with the ''Strike''-class medium cruiser to protect unarmed freighter convoys.
It is run by a crew of 3,505 crewmen, but in critical situations, can be controlled by a skeleton crew of 1,500. It has a sublight speed of 4 space units, typical velocity for its size, but has a relatively fast Class 1 hyperdrive. It also has a typical maneuverability of 1D. It can operate autonomously for 9 months, and also has limited repair facilities onboard to tend to damaged fighters. In addition, it can lug around 500 metric tons of cargo.
In addition to its fighter complement, it can hold 6 various shuttles and 800 soldiers. It can't enter atmosphere, however, so the soldiers must slowly be deployed by the shuttles.
Other firepower configurations include swapping out two of the twin laser cannons with two weak Class I
tractor beam projectors. Modified escort carriers also can have a Krupx VL-6 warhead launcher.
The Starship 'Flurry' is Quasar Fire-class Escort Carrier in the book The Truce at Bakura. It could carry nearly 30 fighters. It was 350 meters long.
The Flurry was destroyed when the ''Carrack''-class light cruiser ''Dominant'' turned its guns on it. The ship went down with all hands. In the final battle it was destroyed when the captain valiantly tried to protect the Imperial Planet down below.
In the fictional Star Wars universe, the 'Fw’sen''-class Picket ships' were small warships deployed by the Ssi-Ruuk in the Expanded Universe book ''The Truce at Bakura''.
The ''Fw’sen''-class took the ovoid overlapping shell shape of other Ssi-Ruuvi starships, although it featured a set of four small wings for stabilization during atmospheric flight. ''The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook'' lists the ship’s length at 45 meters, while ''The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels'' lists it at 50 meters. The two sources also differ on the armament of the picket ship. The former lists the armament of the ships as a pair of bow laser cannons, fin- and keel-mounted Turbolasers and six ion cannons, while the later excludes the ion cannons. The West End Games profile of the ship class appears more accurate, as the ion cannons would have assisted the disabling of enemy ships to collect their crews for entechment.
Each ''Fw’sen''-class Picket Ship is crewed by thirteen P'w'ecks and six enteched servant droids, although the ships could be remotely piloted by Ssi-Ruuk cruisers. This remote piloting option, combined with the design choice to forgo thick hull plating for shield generators, demonstrated a Ssi-Ruuvi intention to sacrifice the picket ships where tactically necessary.
During the Bakura Incident, and subsequent Battle of Bakura, the Ssi-Ruuk fielded twenty ''Fw’sen''-class picket ship. The Imperial defenses destroyed five of the ships during the preliminary battle, while the rest were destroyed or captured by the Rebel Alliance relief force that arrived to rescue Bakura.

The '''Galactic''-class carrier' is a fictional starship in the Star Wars Universe. This carrier is a brand-new model commissioned by the Galactic Alliance. It is 1,600 meters long, and vaguely resembles the ''Imperator''-class Star Destroyer. However, it is half as heavy, and is broader than its forerunner. It is the newest starship line of the Galactic Alliance, and was named the ''Galactic'' class in order to stay away from the infamy of the ''Imperator'' lineage. The only known vessel of this newly minted classification is the G.A.S. ''Dodonna'', which was assigned to the Galactic Alliance Second Fleet, although presumably there was a G.A.S. ''Galactic'' at some point in the past to serve as the class ship.
The 'Geonosian Dreadnaught' is a large capital ship in the fictional Star Wars universe, used by the Separatists. It used the standard Trade Federation coreship as a command and control center. In terms of strength it is probably comparable to the Republic's Mandator class star dreadnaught. These ships were through the final days of the Clone Wars, and General Grievous chose to command from one when not traveling aboard his personal ship the Providence class star destroyer Invisible Hand.
Produced by the insectoid Geonosians, among the founding races of the Confederacy, the dreadnought Pinnance is the strongest ship in the Separatist movement. It is the largest Geonosian ship ever produced and is capable of challenging even the mammoth Pride of the Core. Sonic-ball, missile, tractor-repulsor, and laser weapons all line its crafted hull. It is capable of dealing with almost any threat.
Main articles: Hapan Battle Dragon
The 'Hapan Battle Dragons' are saucer-shaped starships used by the Hapes Cluster. They are about 500 metres long and are heavily armed with nearly 100 gun emplacements. A Hapan Battle Dragon consists of two saucers joined in the middle and manipulated by means of saucer rotation struts. Ion cannons were mounted along the edge of the top disk, set on a type of rotating chain. As each cannon fired, it rotated along the saucer rim, the next cannon in line swung into place, ready to fire. This configuration proved to be superior to a standard turbo laser battery due to the speed at which the guns circled the saucer. While each individual cannon spends approximately 90% of its combat time idle while it charges its capacitors, no gun is stationary, the net result was a sustained barrage of ion cannon blasts. The Hapans used this to disable the shields of another capital ship, such as an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, and then fired salvos of proton torpedoes from the Dragon's 10 launchers, projecting a "mass shadow". This was found to be extremely effective, especially when the Hapans attacked with multiple Battle Dragons, as witnessed during the battle over Dathomir. Unique amongst their weaponry were pulse mass mines distributed by means of pulse mass generator tubes exerting an effect similar in nature to gravity well projectors and dovin basals that stimulate a "mass shadow" that prevents ships from jumping into hyperspace.
Battle Dragons also carried three squadrens of Miy'tils, and were deployed as a fighter screen to prevent heavy bombers penetrating the ion cannon defense.
Main articles: Hapes Nova Class battle Cruiser
The ' ''Hapes Nova''-Class Battle Cruisers' are spacecraft from the Hapes Consortium, a small group of planets under one ruler, had several different warships at their disposal. The ship that they used to deal out damage was their signature Battle Dragons, but the battle cruisers were used primarily to supplement the Dragons. They are usually found patrolling the border, where they served to suppress the innumerable pirates and smugglers who sought to penetrate to the fabulously wealthy inner worlds of the Hapes Cluster (one smuggler would be a one Han Solo). To better patrol, these cruisers are well-stocked, to the point where they can operate for a full Standard-year without ever returning to a base.
Main articles: Old Republic cruiser
''The Harbinger'' is, in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, a Republic army transport ship captured by a group of Sith assassins and their leader Darth Sion, in the Role playing Video Game, .
In contrast to ''The Endar Spire'', a vessel of this class featured prominently in Knights of the Old Republic, whose only armaments appear to have been a quartet of twin Turbolasers mounted on fins above, below, and beside the bridge, ''The Harbinger'' is seen firing a trio of laser cannons mounted on the side of the primary hull. It is thought possible that all such cruisers were equipped with these secondary weapons, or that the Harbinger is simply a later model fitted with additional weaponry.
''The Harbinger'' tracked The Exile to the Peragus Mining Facility and was involved in the facility's destruction. Whether the shot originated from ''The Harbinger'' or from The Exile's own ship, the ''Ebon Hawk'', is uncertain, but the detonation of one of the system's highly unstable asteroids - from which starship fuel was mined (excessive mining prior to this event caused the destruction of Peragus itself) - began a chain detonation that destroyed the facility. ''The Harbinger'' was itself presumed destroyed in the explosion, although its commander Darth Sion later reappeared unscathed.
''The Harbinger'' is a 'Hammerhead' class heavy cruiser.
An 'Interdictor Cruiser' is a starship from the fictional Star Wars Expanded universe capable of interfering with hyperspace travel with gravity wells. They are most common to the Imperial Starfleet, but can be found serving with other forces. Strictly speaking, ''Interdictor Cruiser'' refers to the ''Immobilizer''-class but this article also mentions other vessels that share the same unique capability. In the role-playing game they were invented for, they exist to provide an enemy with the familiar shape of a Star Destroyer, while being of a size and presenting a challenge better-scaled for a small group of player characters to defeat.
The ''Immobilizer-418'' -class Interdictor Cruiser is a starship from the fictional Star Wars universe. Built upon the Vindicator-class Heavy Cruiser, it is a special-purpose vessel, the first warship class of the Imperial Starfleet to incorporate gravity well generators as standard equipment. These generators, when engaged, simulate the presence of a medium-sized planetary body and in particular the effect such a body would have on hyperspace travel. This can be used for two purposes, to prevent vessels entering hyperspace, and to force craft currently in hyperspace to revert to sublight speeds.
Interdictor cruisers were initially developed as a counter to the Rebel Alliance’s hyperdrive-equipped starfighters in particular, and hyperdrive equipped vessels in general. This was primarily to counter Alliance "hit and run" tactics, where a small group of starfighters or light starships would emerge from hyperspace, attack preselected targets, and re-enter hyperspace before sufficient force could be brought to bear on the raiders.
An Interdictor at the site of attack, or able to access the area with a brief hyperspace jump, would be tasked to power up its gravity well generators in an attempt to prevent the escape of the raiding party. Starfighter and capital ship support were then be used to eliminate the attackers, whose only options were to try to run for the edge of the interdiction field, or to attack the Interdictor and hope to inflict enough damage to disable the cruiser’s influence. Either path would result in significant damage to the Alliance forces. Rebel pilots often mistook it for a miniature Star Destroyer when it was accompanied by Star Destroyers. It was only when they tried to escape into hyperspace that they realized it was an Interdictor.
A secondary duty of this class was to patrol trade routes. Freighters pulled out of hyperspace by an Interdictor would be in a position to have their cargo inspected.
The ''Immobilizer'' class had several weaknesses. Foremost was that the gravity well generators took several minutes to "warm up" (though the duration was rarely enough for an entire fleet to escape), and were an extremely large drain on the ship’s resources. This flaw was used on several occasions. When enemy ships were able to inflict significant damage to the Interdictor, the captain was forced to choose between entrapment of the enemy and his ship’s own protection. Interdictors were also poorly protected and armed for their size, unable to successfully match up with vessels of equal size. In fleet operations, they were usually found on the periphery of the battle they were affecting, dependent on better equipped capital ships and starfighters to deliver the necessary damage.
During the Galactic Civil War, only a few hundred Interdictors were built, as they were more expensive than a regular Star Destroyer of comparable size, were less effective in battle, and their primary use was strategic.
Following the Battle of Endor, Imperial warlords, such as Grand Admiral Thrawn, realized the importance of the ship and carefully deployed them. Thrawn was especially famous in connection with Interdictors for developing and refining a tactic that would be named after him. The "Thrawn pincer" positioned the Interdictor's gravity wells along certain vectors. Other vessels (typically Star Destroyers) would be contacted, and would blindly execute a micro-hyperspace jump straight into the Interdictor's gravity wells, yanking them out of hyperspace and near an enemy vessel. Much quicker than subspace movements, the Thrawn pincer allowed reinforcements to be swiftly deployed on the battlefield and afforded a considerable element of surprise.
Several months after the Battle of Endor, a new interdictor class became prevalent. Known as the '''Dominator'' class' (after the first ship of its kind to make an appearance), it appeared to be built off the same hull structure as ''Imperial''-class Star Destroyers. Because of these similarities, it was likely produced by Kuat Drive Yards in order to rival Sienar Fleet Systems.
The new class was designed to counteract one of the ''Immobilizer''-class' main weaknesses, the ability to hold its own in combat. Armed with similar weaponry to ''Imperial''-class Star Destroyers, and carrying four squadrons of TIE fighters, a ''Dominator'' did not require additional support when performing patrol and customs duties. Some bold commanders even used the ship to pull armed convoys out of hyperspace and destroy them. Nonetheless, like the ''Immobilizer'', the gravity wells remained a major drain on the ship's main reactor. This had the potential to compromise the Dominator's defenses in heavy combat.
The 'Old Republic Interdictor Cruiser' was a 600-meter long hyperspace interdiction heavy cruiser that was used in the Sith Wars. The most famous of them was the ''Leviathan'', the pride of the Republic fleet until its commander, Admiral Saul Karath, defected to the Sith armada.
After the flagship ''Leviathan'' defected to the Sith, Darth Malak was able to program the Star Forge, a giant and ancient shipbuilding station orbiting over the star of the Rataka Prime System, to construct identical copies. There were at least two Sith Interdictors defending the Star Forge from Revan and the Old Republic fleet of Admiral Dodonna at the Battle of Rataka Prime (also known as Battle of the Star Forge) during 3,956 B.B.Y. that led to the ending of the Jedi Civil War and the collapse of the Sith Empire.
Interdictor Cruisers built by both the Republic and the Sith possessed 20 quad laser cannons for short range defense, 4 turbolasers, 2 ion cannons, a tractor beam projector, and 4 gravity well generators. That was an inordinately large amount of firepower for a vessel of that size and classification and of that era. An Old Republic Interdictor Cruiser could outgun the ''Interdictor''-class heavy cruiser built in the Galactic Civil War by Kuat Drive Yards.
The defensive capabilities of an Interdictor Cruiser are unknown. However, in the Battle of Telos IV, two Sith Interdictors held off an Old Republic defense fleet composed of three Old Republic medium cruisers and eight Old Republic light cruisers. This would probably give it deflector shielding and armor plating equivalent to Old Republic norms, but firepower far superior than typical Old Republic warships.
However, the primary purpose of the Interdictor Cruiser was not to be the backbone and powerhouses of both the Old Republic and Sith fleets, but to be a hyperspace interdictor. Its quartet of gravity well generators created the distortion of a large mass in the spacetime continuum, a ripple where spacetime was curved negatively or downward. Any vessel travelling in hyperspace that met this simulated gravitic mass would be forced out of hyperspace to realspace. Therefore, any vessel or group of vessels travelling in hyperspace by an Interdictor Cruiser, whether Old Republic, Sith, or Imperial, would be cut out of hyperspace, hence its name: the ''interdictor''.
They were deployed amongst hyperspace routes, commonly travelled pathways through hyperspace that were the safest and most reliable and explored. When enemy fleets came by, they would be pulled out of hyperspace parsecs from their destination, and subsequently ambushed.
Two Sith Interdictors were escorting Darth Nihilus's proto-Star Destroyer flagship, the ''Ravager'', over Telos IV in the Battle of Telos IV.
The '''Invincible''-class dreadnaught' was a warship class over 2 kilometers long capable of atmospheric operations. It was constructed by Rendili StarDrive and Vaufthau Shipyards, Ltd., c. 3,000 BBY, during the 17th Alsakan Conflict between Coruscant and Alsakan.
This class would be used by the Galactic Republic and later by the Corporate Sector Authority as picket ships. Despite its large size and crew complement, it was generally limited to combating pirates and smugglers due to its ancient technology.

The '''Keldabe''-Class Battleship' is a formidable capital ship in the fictional Star Wars universe. It has many turbolasers, laser cannons, and ion cannons, plus a pair of mass-driver cannons. It can effectively leech the shields from any ship, restoring its own shields if needed, and the extra energy powers the weapon systems. The ship is named after the capital city of Mandalore, which the Consortium conquered to get ahold of tons of dfferent technology, this being the most impressive.
The ship first came into service for the Zann Consortium after piracy had been put into place and the planet was conquered. The pirate captain put in charge disobeyed orders and continued raiding the shipping lanes, gaining access to the Keldabe-class battleship, informing Tyber Zann "We have a new toy for you!" He was promptly shot for his disobeying orders. Tyber Zann cited that if his officers disobeyed orders without regard, the Zann Consortium would degrade into nothing better than a pack of thugs.
The Keldabe had a beam to leech shield power from enemy ships. Once the technology had been bought off of the black market of a rebel controlled world, the shields of an enemy ship would be drained, passed through the Keldabe and redirected to the weapons systems.
The 'Knight Hammer' is a Super Star Destroyer in the fictional Star Wars universe.
The ''Knight Hammer'', originally named the 'Night Hammer' was constructed by Superior General Delvardus. After his death at the hands of Admiral Daala, Colonel Cronus presented the ship to her. Daala took the ''Night Hammer'' as her flagship, adding a "K" to its name as a pun, as she was about to attack the Jedi academy on Yavin 4. The ship was coated in black stealth-armor, making it difficult to detect both visually and with sensors.
Daala used the ''Knight Hammer'' in an attack against Yavin 4, but ended up losing it completely when the Jedi Callista dentonated her stolen TIE Bomber's torpedoes in the hanger bay of the ''Knight Hammer'', resulting in a domino effect on the payloads of the other TIE Bombers, destroying the giant ship's sublight engines and sending it plummeting into the gas giant Yavin.
The 'Koros-strohna worldships' were a large transport used by the extragalactic Yuuzhan Vong from the Star Wars New Jedi Order series. They were huge, about 10 km long and could be used to house entire communities of Yuuzhan Vong, providing them with food and shelter. Like all other Yuuzhan Vong vehicles and vessels, the Koros Strohna or Worldship was made of yorik coral. The Worldship has more in common with a planet than a starship and like most other Yuuzhan Vong bio-engineered vessels, it did not appear to be a starship at all. It resembled in shape the very galaxy the Yuuzhan Vong had come to conquer though far smaller. It was immense and its main body was a disc-shaped bulked littered with hundreds of weapons projections and other protrusions. On the edges of the Worldship were several large spiral arms, making the ship resemble a galaxy. These spiral arms or outrider ganglia were used to dock the worldships Coralskippers. They could also be used as solar sails to push the worldship through space with the Coralskippers keeping them extended. Dovin Basals could also be used to propel the worldship by projecting gravity wells to drag Yuuzhan Vong ships through the interstellar void or to strip enemy vessels of their deflector shields. The Worldship was protected by 200 plasma weapons emplacements. Additional defense came from the worldship's cargo and troop holds which could transport 5,000 warriors along with starfighters and planetary vehicles. Another weapon was the huge, tubular worm called Gorros' Fen which extended from the bowels of the worldship. The Gorros' Fen could be used to deploy troops and to gather nutrients for the worldship to stay alive.
'''Lancer''-class frigates' are combat starships in the ''Star Wars'' fictional universe, appearing in the Expanded Universe of novels and computer games.[1]
The ''Lancer''-class was first commissioned after the Battle of Yavin.1 Having become aware of the danger Rebel starfighters pose, the Empire created a capital ship for use against them.1 The ''Lancer'' was designed and built by Kuat Drive Yards, which borrowed from existing KDY hull designs.1 It was designed to serve a highly specialized function, and it excelled when used against enemy starfighters, but the ''Lancer'' was not built in large numbers due to various design flaws and is prohibitive cost.1
The frigate is 250 meters long and carries a crew of 850, 40 of whom are gunners for the weapons emplacements.1 The Lancer carries 20 Corellian AG-2G Quad Laser Cannons spaced evenly around the hull.1 Each gun is mounted in its own turret to maximize the ship's firing arc.1 This configuration makes the ''Lancer'' efficient against starfighters; however, unlike its larger cousin the Nebulon-B Frigate, it mounts no turbolasers and is vulnerable to other capital ships.1
The ship's engines are not extremely powerful, but suffice to accelerate the ship to slightly faster than the top speed of a Y-wing.1
The ''Lancer'' serves primarily as a screening vessel for the larger ships in the Imperial Navy.1 Initially, Navy doctrine placed these ships on the perimeter, but it was found that they were picked off too easily by Rebel capital ships.1 Following this discovery, doctrine was altered and it became standard operating procedure to place ''Lancer'' frigates closer to other capital ships, providing flanking support for the Star Destroyers that could provide covering fire against the larger Rebel ships.1
Main articles: Malak's Leviathan
The Leviathan is the Flagship of Darth Malak's Sith Armada, a pre Mandalorian Wars Republic ship, and (in some ways), resembles a Star Destroyer. It is one of the more deadly Sith capital ships, with its Auto-Targeting Laser Cannons, which can prove effective in enforcing planetary blockades. It was run by a joint combination of Darth Malak and Admiral Saul Karath. The Class is built by a giant factory called the Star Forge. The ship is also responsible for the destruction of Taris when Darth Malak ordered it to fire on the capital city in hopes of killing Bastila. The Leviathan caught the Ebon Hawk, Bastila's Ship, when it was retreating from Manaan, Bastila's crew managed to escape. During their flight Carth Onasi, Bastila, and the former Darth Revan killed Saul Karath. Malak recaptured Bastila when she sacrificed herself to save Carth and the rest. Malak would later turn her to the dark side.
The 'Marauder Corvette'' is a capital starship in the fictional Star Wars universe. It is 195 meters long and is armed with 8 double turbolasers (although more can be added when a better power generator is installed), 3 tractor beam emitters, 12 starfighters, and 80 troops for use in boarding or planetary landing operations. The Marauder Corvette was designed by Republic Sienar Systems, a precursor of Sienar Fleet Systems. When the Republic decided not to use any in the Clone Wars, they were sold to planetary and corporate navies. The ship is used extensively by the forces of the Corporate Sector Authority and by outlawed groups. Although not powerful enough for engagements against Imperial Navy starships alone, they are excellent as patrol and interdiction ships.
The Rebels acquired several of these and modified them with 4 Diamond-Boron missile launchers instead of turbolasers and downsized the engines.
The 'Matalok Command Cruiser' are large bioships commonly found in the Yuuzhan Vong warfleet. They are use to command the Yuuzhan Vong attack forces. They resemble the Mon Calamari Cruisers from a distance and are heavily armed and shielded. A Yammosk can also be fitted into the ship.
The 'Naboo Royal Cruiser' is a capital ship which transported Padmé Amidala to Coruscant during the creation of the Military Creation Act. It was design and constructed by Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps, and succeeded the Naboo Royal Starship as the primary transport for Naboo's monarch. Like the Naboo Royal Starship, it has no weapons since it is a peaceful ambassadorial ship. The Royal Starship is built around 2 Nubian S-6 hyperdrive generators and 4 J-type sublight engines. It carries 5 crew and 5 astro-utility droids for maintaining the ship, and can carry 10 passengers. It can carry an escort of four fighters with it through hyperspace.
The design for Naboo Royal Starship was inspired by the B-2 Spirit.
The 'Naboo Royal Starship' is a capital ship which transported Padmé Amidala and the Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi to Coruscant. It was designed and constructed by Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps. This ship was also used to carry Amidala on formal state visits to other planetary rulers and to the Galactic Senate in Coruscant. It has no weapons since it is a peaceful ambassadorial ship. The Royal Starship is built around an elegant Nubian 327 sublight and hyperdrive propulsion system. The starship was designed to embody the glory of Naboo royalty which represented the noble spirit of the citizens of Naboo. It carries 8 crew, including pilots, and 8 astro-utility droids for maintaining the ship. It can be protected by Rhys Dallows and Essara till in Star Wars: Starfighter.
The design for Naboo Royal Starship was inspired by the SR-71 Blackbird.
In the fictional Star Wars universe, the 'Nubian I Type Cruiser' is a spaceship. One of the larger diplomatic transports built by the planet Naboo, the Nubian I Type Cruiser was large, expensive, and sold well. The main problem was the size, for although it was short as any, its wide width made its landing space requirements as large as bulk transports, meaning that on most worlds it would have to land in a cargo bay instead of usual passenger areas.
Because of that, it killed production, and although some I types survived till today, they are used mostly as cargo vessels.

The Old Republic light cruiser was a 102-meter long warship that participated actively amongst the Galactic Republic fleets during the Jedi Civil War and the Sith Wars. They fought in the Battle of Telos IV and the Battle of Rataka Prime (a.k.a. Battle of the Star Forge).

They had three sections: a command section, midsection, and engine section. The command section was like a rectangular block, with a blue-tinted viewport that signified a bridge that was ventrally-aligned (upside-down). On the dorsal (top) part of the command section, there were two double turbolaser batteries. The midsection was externally similar to the command section, except slightly elongated. The engine section boasted seven engines in the following form:
The central thruster was over twice as big as the others, and was the primary source of thrust. The six others, three to either side, were optional maneuvering thrusters.
The ''Profiteer'', captained by Daultay Dofine, was a Droid Control Ship and led the blockade of the planet Naboo. It was destroyed during the Battle of Naboo when Anakin Skywalker, after flying into the ship's open hangar, accidentally shot the ship's reactor, causing the ''Profiteer'' to be consumed by a series of internal explosions that killed all aboard.
Commanded by Admiral Traest Kre'fey, the Ralroost was a Bothan Assault Cruiser and flagship of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force First Fleet during the New Jedi Order series.

The 'Rand Ecliptic' was a large warship with a design reminiscent of the ''Acclamator''-class Assault Ship. It was supposedly a "Class II Frigate", and was first commanded by Captain Heliesk, serving the Galactic Empire.
The 'Ranger Gunships' first made their appearance in the book Vector Prime. In the battle at Helska 4 there were roughly 7 Ranger Gunships. They are rival the Corellian Gunship in speed, but are a close match in power.

The 'Assault Frigate' is a Dreadnaught-esque spaceship found in the Star Wars comics. The Rebel Alliance Assault Frigate resulted from an attempt by the Rebel Navy for a ship that was as capable as a Dreadnaught but less crew intensive. What resulted was a ship that used the ubiquitous Dreadnaught as a foundation. By updating the electronic suites and adding automation the designers reduced crew requirements and were able to shoe horn in more armaments, armor and shielding. This also resulted in the loss of the fighter squadron that a normal Dreadnaught carries.

The 'Republic Assault Ship' is a ship from The Clone Wars era.
The Arrival of massive acclamator-class Troopships above Geonosis is a pivotal moment in galactic military history. The Separatists, working with nefarious corporate organisations, are stunned not only by the decisiveness of the hitherto stagnant Republic, but moreover by its use of a trained and well equipped clone army-the first time the Republic has deployed an army since its inception. At the battle's turning point, the troopships land to disgorge swarms of armed transport gunships under the cover of turbolaser fire. The ships are accompanied by heavy ground vehicles and thousands of well-trained, dedicated clone troops. This ship is manufactured by the Rothana Heavy Engineering, the length of the ship is 752 m (2466 ft) and the width is 460 m (1509 ft). The max acceleration of the ship is 3500G which is quite good for a huge ship. This ship can carry a crew of 700 as well as 16000 clone troopers and support personnel. This ship's armament is 12 quad turbolaser turrets, 24 laser cannons and 4 missile/torpedo launch tubes. The new Galactic Army's arsenal was secretly built by a mighty corporation that could have led the separatists if not for a bloody treachery. Leading Kuati executives were assassinated when Neimoidians took over the Trade Federation at the notorious Eriadu Conference a decade earlier. The outraged industrialists have since aligned with the Supreme Chancellery. Meanwhile, the pace of clandestine construction accelerates in Kuat's cordoned shipyards and factories on Rothana.
The 'Republic Cruiser' (officially known as a ''Consular''-class cruiser) was used by the Old Republic to transport Jedi and diplomats to trouble spots across the Star Wars galaxy. Designed and manufactured by the Corellian Engineering Corporation.
The Republic cruiser was coated in red to declare its diplomatic immunity and to also serve as a warning not to attack. Red was the colour of ambassadorial relations and neutrality for capital ships of the Republic, and has been so for many centuries. This tradition even continued into the days of the Empire. Princess Leia's vessel ''Tantive IV'' of Alderaan, which appeared in , was striped in red to indicate diplomatic immunity. It also seems that blue is the color of the Republic's Senatorial craft (as seen in the Revenge of the Sith).
The Republic Cruiser was also equipped with a salon pod that served as a meeting area for Republic representatives and leaders of groups in conflict. There was also a variety of salon pods that catered to different alien species. In emergency situations, the entire salon pod could eject from the mother craft, and with its own sensors and life support equipment, protecting the diplomatic crew on board.
The Cruiser's total capacity was 8 crew and 16 passengers. Although initially unarmed, the Clone Wars forced the Republic to outfit its diplomatic vessels with laser cannons, for added security.
The Cruiser first appeared in the , in which it transported Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi to the Trade Federation Droid Control Ship orbiting the planet Naboo. On the orders of Darth Sidious, the Trade Federation destroyed the Cruiser.
Another Republic Cruiser was Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's flagship which landed on Naboo after the Battle of Naboo.
More commonly known as simply the Commerce Guild Destroyer, the 'Recusant-class ships' were some of the most frequently-encountered sizable space warships of the Clone Wars. Many hundreds or thousands of these ships were built, then destroyed and then replaced again in the ongoing war for space supremacy throughout the conflict. Sporting heavier firepower than the Munificent-class frigates and many other Separatist warships, these ships were designated destroyers only because they were rather skeletal and the in-system warships used by sector defence fleets (such as the Kuat Sector Defence Fleet’s Mandator-II class Star Dreadnaught) were so gargantuan. Commerce Guild Destroyers were fairly powerful in their own right but were at their best in groups.
Acting partly as lone commerce raiders for much of the war but also as integral elements of strike groups, Recusant-class ships carried heavy armament for ships of their low mass. While their main prow heavy turbolaser was not as destructive as the huge forward twin cannons of its IGBC counterpart, it served much the same role and was still quite deadly to other medium-weight warships. This was complemented by a large battery of other, slightly smaller turbolasers in single mountings (only some of them steerable) that served as the ship’s primary assault weapons. Turreted turbolasers provided cover from all angles, laser cannons fended off smaller combatants and point-defence laser cannon defended against strafing or bombing runs from Loyalist starfighter forces. While it carried this large arsenal of beam weapons the ship was without any physical weaponry, though this lack was lessened to some extent by a powerful reactor that kept a constant supply of power to the ships’ turbolasers and laser cannon. Also, the ship carried no ion cannon, making it hard to use if you wanted the enemy taken more or less intact. That said, 4 Resucant-class ships could overwhelm a Venator-class carrier and 6 could win a battle against the more formidable Victory-class Star Destroyers. Used in sufficient numbers, Commerce Guild Destroyers often proved the main strike force of the Confederate space navy.
As with the Munificent-class frigates, the Commerce Guild Destroyer was relatively large but had few actual habitable decks and was composed primarily of its structural frame and the outer plating. Also as with the Banking Clan frigates, this empty space was ideal for carrying wings of small droid fighters such as the Droid Starfighter and the Tri-Fighter into battle as the small fighters lacked hyperdrives of their own. And, once again as with the IGBC’s craft these hollow hulls made them vulnerable to the big guns of Republic warships should their shields fail.
The 'Sh'ner-class Planetary Assault Carrier' is important to the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium fleet as they carry Swarm-class Battle Droids and D'kee class Landing ships used in invasions and space battles. It is weak in armour and armament and is 750 metres long. Its weapons are 6 ion cannons and 2 tractor beam projectors. The carrier also has 12 launching bays for the D'kee-class Landing Ships with 12 landing bays used for capturing enemy vessels. The carrier is also equipped with 12 entechment labs to drain prisoners of their life energies and giant batteries to store these energies. The crew consists of 60 Ssi-Ruuk who make up the command crew along with about 500 P'w'ecks which are slaves and 300 droids. Because of the large number of P'w'ecks, their Ssi-Ruuvi masters make sure that stun traps are planted in every corridor and room to ensure obedience. These stun traps can cause terrible pain to the P'w'ecks, and can kill humans. Every P'w'eck also has a neural inhibitor implanted into them. The carrier can carry 12 D'kee-class landing ships which can transport troops.
The 'Shriwirr' was a massive battle cruiser from the Expanded Universe novel ''The Truce at Bakura'', used by the reptilian Ssi-Ruuk. It was a ''Shree''-class battle cruiser.
The ''Shriwirr'' was 900 metres long and littered with countless weapons emplacements. It was armed with the equivalent of 24 ion cannons, 12 concussion missile launchers, 24 heavy turbolasers and 12 tractor beam projectors. It could carry 500 ''Swarm''-class Battle Droids which were the Ssi-Ruuk equivalent of starfighters and 12 ''D'Kee-''class Landing Ships.
It was staffed by a large crew of P'w'ecks which are a species enslaved by the Ssi-Ruuk. The Ssi-Ruuk concentrate more on capturing enemy troops rather than destroying them because they rely on a technology that draws out the life essences of captives called entechment. The ''Shriwirr'' had a large entechment lab on board where many prisoners taken during the Battle of Bakura were turned into slaves. After the Battle of Bakura, the ''Shriwirr'' was captured by the Rebel Alliance who had it refitted to become a part of its fledgling fleet. The ''Shriwirr'' was renamed ''Deb Sibwarra'' to honour the human slave who sacrificed his life so that the Ssi-Ruuk could be defeated.
The ''Shriwirr'' also lead the Ssi-Ruuk invasion fleet which consisted a ''Sh'ner''-class Planetary Assault Cruiser, a ''Lwhekk''-class Manufacturing Ship, four ''Wurrif''-class Light Cruisers and 20 ''Fw'sen''-class Picket Ships.

The ''Strike''-class medium cruiser is a venerable 450-meter warship from the Star Wars Universe. It contained firepower about half of a ''Victory II''-class Star Destroyer and defensive shielding and armor superior to an Interdictor Cruiser. It has an optimal crew of 2,112 crewmen and a skeleton crew of 800. It had twenty standard turbolasers, ten turbolaser batteries, ten enhanced ion cannons, and ten tractor beam projectors. The Strike cruiser had a modular superstructure that allowed for quick manufacturing, repairing, upgrades, and modifications.
However, the modular superstructure eventually proved to be its greatest fault. A well-placed series of shots can break part of the superstructure, disintergrating the vessel.
Its primary hyperdrive was a Class 2 rating, and its backup was a Class 12 rating. It can carry 6 thousand metric tons of cargo, could operate autonomously for 1.5 years, and had a velocity of "6 space units" and maneuverability of "2D".

The 'Techno Union Starship' is a capital ship used by both the Techno Union and the Intergalactic Banking Clan. It first appeared during the Battle of Geonosis (in ) where many of its kind had their fuel-cells taken out by Republic LAAT gunships, thus preventing them from escaping. Before the Battle of Geonosis, there were 286 of the starships on Geonosis but only 169 escaped to space. It was designated as the "Hardcell Class" transport starship, was 220 metres long, and was shaped like a rocket. It was used to deploy hailfire droids and later the Intergalactic Banking Clan's own battle droids, the IG lancers. The ship had a conical nose housing quarters for the organic crew, command decks and medical decks. It had six primary thruster units around its base that were capable of providing a fast take-off speed of 4,000 km/h.
The 'Trade Federation Battleship' is a fictional spaceship used by the Trade Federation in the movies '', '', and ''.
At over three kilometers in diameter, the enormous vessels resemble flattened disks with a central sphere containing the ship's bridge and reactor assemblies. The disk is broken at the front of the craft, revealing two mammoth docking bays lined with forward docking claws. These gigantic cargo vessels have been built for many years by the Trade Federation and are an important asset to their enterprise. Its weapons are 42 quad-laser emplacements scattered all over the ship, 66 dual laser cannons, 500 proton torpedoes tubes, 40 point-defense ion cannons it was a huge destructive battle vessel. The Trade Federation Battleship could carry 50 Trade Federation Landing Ships, 1,500 Droid Starfighters, 550 MTTs, 6,250 AATs and 1,500 PACs. A crew of 2,000 was needed to operate the ship to its full capacity, it could carry over 10 million deactivated droids without including the droidekas, or destroyer droids, and the "peasant" type droids. The most important vessel in the Trade Federation's blockade was the Droid Control Ship. When the rest of the blockade had dispersed after Naboo was successfully occupied, the Neimoidians left the Droid Control Ship in orbit.
After the Battle of Naboo, the Republic ordered the Trade Federation to disband its military forces. The crafty Trade Federation pretended to comply with this command by apparently disassembling most of its battleships, only to transform their centrispheres into detachable Core Ships capable of carrying supplies. These Core Ships were seen during the Battle of Geonosis where they carried legions of battle droids. In retreat, the Core Ships were found to be able to reattach themselves to the outer ring. These vessels saw continued use during the devastating Clone Wars, transporting military equipment and troops to countless worlds, and engaging Republic fleets in combat. After the Clone Wars, the remaining Trade Federation Battleships and Core Ships were sold to the Corporate Sector or other organisations.

The following is a list of fictional starships, cruisers, battleships, and other capital ships seen in the ''Star Wars'' saga.
Aramadia-class Thrustship
Arc Hammer
Assault Frigate Mk. II
Banking Clan Cruiser
Bothan Assault Cruiser
Bulk Cruiser
The 'Bulk Cruiser' is a ship used by the Old Republic in the Clone Wars and even before that. The Bulk Cruiser is small very powerful, easy to maintain, and all things considered not very fulfilling of its name. The Empire also used them.
Carrack-Class Light Cruiser
The '''Carrack''-class Light Cruiser' is a light cruiser and a fleet support ship that has been a part of the Imperial Starfleet since the earliest days of Palpatine's New Order.
Specifications
Use

Chu'unthor
Commerce Guild Destroyer
Corellian Gunship
Doomgiver
Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser
Droid Control Ship
The most important battleship in the Trade Federation blockade at Naboo was the Droid Control Ship. Appearing very similar to the standard battleship -- a flattened ring shape with engines at the aft, docking claws at the fore, and a large detachable sphere in the center -- the Droid Control Ship was easily distinguished by the clustered array of transmitters and receiver antennae on its dorsal surface.
Endar Spire
Escort Carrier
Flurry
The Starship 'Flurry' is Quasar Fire-class Escort Carrier in the book The Truce at Bakura. It could carry nearly 30 fighters. It was 350 meters long.
The Flurry was destroyed when the ''Carrack''-class light cruiser ''Dominant'' turned its guns on it. The ship went down with all hands. In the final battle it was destroyed when the captain valiantly tried to protect the Imperial Planet down below.
Fw'sen-class Picket Ship

Galactic-class battle carrier
Geonosian Dreadnaught
Hapan Battle Dragon
Hapes Nova Class battle Cruiser
Harbinger
Interdictor Cruiser
''Immobilizer''-class Interdictor
''Dominator''-class
Interdictor cruiser (Old Republic)
Invincible-class dreadnaught heavy cruiser
The '''Invincible''-class dreadnaught' was a warship class over 2 kilometers long capable of atmospheric operations. It was constructed by Rendili StarDrive and Vaufthau Shipyards, Ltd., c. 3,000 BBY, during the 17th Alsakan Conflict between Coruscant and Alsakan.
This class would be used by the Galactic Republic and later by the Corporate Sector Authority as picket ships. Despite its large size and crew complement, it was generally limited to combating pirates and smugglers due to its ancient technology.

Keldabe-class Battleship
Knight Hammer
Koros-strohna Worldships
Lancer-Class Frigate
'''Lancer''-class frigates' are combat starships in the ''Star Wars'' fictional universe, appearing in the Expanded Universe of novels and computer games.[1]
Overview
The ''Lancer''-class was first commissioned after the Battle of Yavin.1 Having become aware of the danger Rebel starfighters pose, the Empire created a capital ship for use against them.1 The ''Lancer'' was designed and built by Kuat Drive Yards, which borrowed from existing KDY hull designs.1 It was designed to serve a highly specialized function, and it excelled when used against enemy starfighters, but the ''Lancer'' was not built in large numbers due to various design flaws and is prohibitive cost.1
Design
Tactical use
The ''Lancer'' serves primarily as a screening vessel for the larger ships in the Imperial Navy.1 Initially, Navy doctrine placed these ships on the perimeter, but it was found that they were picked off too easily by Rebel capital ships.1 Following this discovery, doctrine was altered and it became standard operating procedure to place ''Lancer'' frigates closer to other capital ships, providing flanking support for the Star Destroyers that could provide covering fire against the larger Rebel ships.1
Leviathan
Marauder Corvette
Matalok Command Cruiser
The 'Matalok Command Cruiser' are large bioships commonly found in the Yuuzhan Vong warfleet. They are use to command the Yuuzhan Vong attack forces. They resemble the Mon Calamari Cruisers from a distance and are heavily armed and shielded. A Yammosk can also be fitted into the ship.
Naboo Royal Cruiser
Naboo Royal Starship
Nubian I-Type Cruiser
In the fictional Star Wars universe, the 'Nubian I Type Cruiser' is a spaceship. One of the larger diplomatic transports built by the planet Naboo, the Nubian I Type Cruiser was large, expensive, and sold well. The main problem was the size, for although it was short as any, its wide width made its landing space requirements as large as bulk transports, meaning that on most worlds it would have to land in a cargo bay instead of usual passenger areas.
Because of that, it killed production, and although some I types survived till today, they are used mostly as cargo vessels.

Old Republic Light Cruiser
The Old Republic light cruiser was a 102-meter long warship that participated actively amongst the Galactic Republic fleets during the Jedi Civil War and the Sith Wars. They fought in the Battle of Telos IV and the Battle of Rataka Prime (a.k.a. Battle of the Star Forge).
An Old Republic medium cruiser being escorted by five Old Republic light cruisers and squads of Old Republic A-wing interceptors ''en route'' to a strike on the Sith Star Forge.
Profiteer
The ''Profiteer'', captained by Daultay Dofine, was a Droid Control Ship and led the blockade of the planet Naboo. It was destroyed during the Battle of Naboo when Anakin Skywalker, after flying into the ship's open hangar, accidentally shot the ship's reactor, causing the ''Profiteer'' to be consumed by a series of internal explosions that killed all aboard.
Ralroost
Commanded by Admiral Traest Kre'fey, the Ralroost was a Bothan Assault Cruiser and flagship of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force First Fleet during the New Jedi Order series.
Rand Ecliptic
Main articles: Rand Ecliptic
The 'Rand Ecliptic' was a large warship with a design reminiscent of the ''Acclamator''-class Assault Ship. It was supposedly a "Class II Frigate", and was first commanded by Captain Heliesk, serving the Galactic Empire.
Ranger Gunship
The 'Ranger Gunships' first made their appearance in the book Vector Prime. In the battle at Helska 4 there were roughly 7 Ranger Gunships. They are rival the Corellian Gunship in speed, but are a close match in power.

Rebel Assault Frigate

Republic Assault Ship
Republic Cruiser
Recusant-class Destroyer
Sh'ner-class Planetary Assault Carrier
Shree-class Battle Cruiser

Strike Cruiser

Techno Union Starship
Trade Federation Battleship
