E-TRADE-CENTER

'e-trade-center' is an electronic business contacts database supported by the Federal German Ministry of Economics and Technology . It is addressed to German as well as foreign companies. 'e-trade-center' was set up in 2001 and is operated by the German Office for Foreign Trade (bfai) since 2002. Actually, there are 16 German Supporting Institutions, among them business associations, chambers and region specific associations.
'e-trade-center' was set up in order to concentrate foreign and German business enquiries in one single database and make them available to interested parties worldwide. Companies can offer products and services or search for investors, goods or what else they need. Many of the enquiries focus on textiles, vehicles, construction and foods.
The database search provides different options like “country”, “line of business” or “kind of cooperation”. Companies can contact potential business partners immediately by using the publicized data.
Questionnaires in English, German and Spanish enable companies to enter their business enquiries into 'e-trade-center' themselves.
'e-trade-center' is networked with the German Business Portal, which offers business information about Germany for foreign companies and businessmen.
