EMD GP38

An 'EMD GP38' is a 4-axle diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between January 1966 and December 1971. Power was provided by an EMD 645 16-cylinder engine which generated 2000 horsepower (1.5 MW).
700 examples of this locomotive model were built for American railroads, and 6 were built for Mexican railroads.
While GP38 locomotives can haul light to medium loads over somewhat reasonable distances and conditions, due to their size and power output, they are typically used for assembling and relocating consists, and switching duties around train yards.
