EDMOND KAPLLANI
'Edmond Kapllani' (born in Durrës, Albania on 31 July, 1982) is an Albanian football striker who currently plays for Karlsruher SC in German Bundesliga.
Before joining Karlsruher SC, Kapllani played for KS Besa Kavajë (2003-04) and KF Partizani Tirana (1999-2003) in the Albanian First Division, as well as Croatian team NK Rijeka (1998-99).
He had a very successful 2006-07 season with Karlsruher SC as he became the second best goalscorer of the 2nd Bundesliga with 17 goals in 30 appearances, behind teammate Giovanni Federico with 19, and helped KSC to return to the first division after a nine-year absence. In early June 2007, he also performed well for the Albanian national team, scoring three goals in their two matches against Luxembourg in the Euro 2008 qualifying.
