Egglescliffe Parish Church

'Egglescliffe' is a village and civil parish which for ceremonial purposes is in County Durham, England.[2] Administratively it is located in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, a unitary authority.[3]It was formerly part of the non-metropolitan county of Cleveland, created by the Local Government Act 1972 and abolished in 1996. It is situated immediately to the south of Eaglescliffe, on the other side of the River Tees from Yarm. The village has a population of around 595.
The village green is the site of an annual bonfire and fireworks display on Guy Fawkes Night. The parish church is dedicated to St John the Baptist. Also in the village is a primary school, small public play area, farms, allotments and a public house, called the ''Pot and Glass''.
