Resurfacing as of July 2006

El Toro Road is one of the divide highway in Orange County which serves the bad traffic problems between 1999 to 2005 between Muirlands Boulevard southerly until Moulton Parkway after remodeling the interchange El Toro Y which is few miles north of Interstate 5. As of April 2004 the Caltrans start to remodel the parts starting at Rockfield Boulevard by widening to 3 or 4 lanes until to Moulton Parkway then northerly until Muirlands Boulevard by March 2006. The road widening caused remodeling as additional signal lights had to be improved and many stores were to be rebuilt. [1] [2]
