ELAINE STORKEY
'Elaine Storkey' (born 1 October 1943 in Wakefield, United Kingdom) is a lecturer, writer, broadcaster.
She grew up in Ossett, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. In 1968 she married Alan Storkey, an economist, writer and lecturer. She has three sons.
Elaine is the President of Tearfund, a Christian relief and development charity.
She is Senior Research Fellow in Social Philosophy at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford.
Many have come to know her through her many broadcasts including BBC Radio 4's Thought for the Day.
