'Elko New Market' is a new city, formed in January 2007, from Elko and New Market in Scott County, Minnesota. Voters approved the merger in March 2006 by a margin of 437-85[1].The estimated 2006 population of Elko New Market is 3,168[2], up from 804 in the 2000 census of the two cities.
