Born in St Helens, Merseyside, Rigby attended De La Salle High School in St Helens, but left in 2006 to take up her role in ''Hollyoaks''. She took her GCSEs in 2006 and reported to have received 9 A
★ 's despite her heavy and strenuous ''Hollyoaks'' filming schedule.
Rigby is represented by the Lamont Casting Agency in Liverpool, and beside her acting career, she has also done some modelling work.
