The 'English Beef and Lamb Executive' (EBLEX) is part of the United Kingdom Meat and Livestock Commission and promotes assured quality beef and lamb. The cartoon characters of Beefy and Lamby have featured in television and print advertisements.
The Government funded website beefyandlamby.co.uk was assessed for possible closure in January 2007, as part of a streamlining of government web sites.
