ERNEST A. LOVE FIELD
'Prescott Municipal Airport' , also known as 'Ernest A. Love Field'[1] (not to be confused with Dallas Love Field), is a public airport located seven miles (11 km) north of the central business district of Prescott, a city in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States.
Love Field is mostly used for general aviation but is also served by one commercial airline. Service is subsidized by the Essential Air Service program. Most of the traffic at PRC is training flights from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 5,020 commercial passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2005 and 3,780 enplanements in 2006.[2] According to the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2007-2011, Ernest A. Love Field is classified as ''commercial service - non-primary'' because it has between 2,500 and 10,000 passenger boardings per year.[3]
Once again the FAA has selected Mesa Airlines to take over the flights from Great Lakes Airlines starting in July.[4] Mesa Airlines will offer three flights daily, two to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and the third to a new destination, Las Vegas McCarran International Airport.
