'Erskine Park' is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located approximately 42km west of the CBD.
Erskine Park is a predominately residential suburb, although it contains a growing industrial area around its southern outskirts. The suburb has a high school, primary school, and shops including a supermarket, florist, confectionary store, pharmacy, a gourmet deli, and a popular family pizzeria called Gottie's.
The area includes lands earlier granted to James Erskine, Lieutenant Governor to Lachlan Macquarie, in the early days of the colony. The local school, James Erskine Public School, is named in his honour. The adjoining secondary school, Erskine Park High School, is home to over 1000 students. It is a modern, comprehensive, secondary public high school with a large special needs support unit. It is attendended mainly by students from the local area, but also from students living in nearby St. Clair, Colyton, and St. Mary's.
Erskine Park is a small working-middle class area which is rapidly being built around on three sides by warehousing factories near the M4, M7 Junction roads. Erskine Park is a tenth of its neighbouring suburb St Clair and has a $40000 premium.
