'Everglades High School' is a public high school located in Miramar, Florida. The school serves 4,200 students in grades 9 through 12. The current school hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. The principal is Dr. Paul Fetscher.
March 2007: Head Coach Mike Palmeri steps down to go work for Mallard Creek High in North Carolina. He is replaced by former Cypress Bay High School coach Josh Shapiro.
The 2006-2007 Teacher of the Year was awarded to Mr. Jackson Martin, educator in Chemistry, Physics, SECME and Genetics. It should be noted that it is quite probable that Dr. Gyan Pande, accomplished Chemist, is in the current lead for Teacher of the Year.
On the school year 2007-2008, Everglades High School had to move its incoming freshman class to the portables they once used before the school was built due to overpopulation.

'-September, 16, 2003'- Everglades High first opens. The temperary location was at the former Charles W. Flanagan High School Annex because of the ongoing final construction of the Everglades main building. The School schedule was held in double sessions during the months at the annex because of the large population, where the class of 2007 freshman had classes from 12:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. and upperclassmen had classes from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The class of 2004 of Everglades supposedly had a total of 12 senior students.
'-November 3, 2003'- The first day of classes on the main campus of Everglades. Main construction had already been completed.
'-March 2004:' The groundbreaking which signified beginning construction of the Eastern Financial Stadium at Everglades High School. A one million dollar contribution from Eastern Financial assisted in the completion of this stadium.

'2005-2006:' Everglades Varsity Football team became undefeated district champions (10-0)
'May 2007:' Everglades girl's Varsity Softball team became state champions. [1].
