FABIáN CARINI

'Héctor Fabián Carini Hernández' (born 26 December 1979 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan football goalkeeper who currently plays for Real Murcia and the Uruguay national football team, which he represented at the Copa América 2007.
He played for 3 seasons in Uruguayan club Danubio F.C., before signing with Italian club Juventus in 2000 where he spent two seasons and was used mainly as a substitute goalkeeper. During the summer of 2002, he nearly completed a loan move to Arsenal F.C., but at the last minute, the move fell through due to the player's wage demands.[1] He moved instead to Standard Liège, where he spent 2 years on loan.
In 2004 Carini left Juventus, when he was exchanged for Fabio Cannavaro in a transfer which was worth 10 million Euro[2]. Besides being the first choice goalkeeper for his country, he was the third choice goalkeeper for Inter. After spending the 2005-06 season on loan at Cagliari, he was back at Inter where he was the fourth goalkeeper after Francesco Toldo, Júlio César and Paolo Orlandoni, and did not see a single minute of action again. Before the 2007-08 season, he moved to newly promoted Murcia to compete with the incumbent first-choice goalkeeper Antonio Notario.[3]
