FAYE TOZER
'Faye Louise Tozer' (born Northampton, England, November 14, 1975) is a theatre actress and singer who first gained fame as a member of the pop group Steps.
Since Steps split on December 26 2001, Faye Tozer has only returned to the pop charts once, duetting with Russell Watson, whom she met at a BBC Proms In The Park concert in 2001. Their UK single ''Someone Like You'' charted at #10 in May 2002 and she joined him on his extensive UK tour around the same time.
In 2002, she married her long-term Danish boyfriend Jesper Irn at the Priory Church in her hometown of Dunstable, Bedfordshire (the couple have since divorced).
In 2004 she toured the UK to much acclaim in a theatre production of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's ''Tell Me On A Sunday'' and in 2005, Tozer toured the UK extensively with fellow Pop Alumni Jon Lee and Noel Sullivan, playing Bonnie in the new musical ''Love Shack''. In December 2005, Tozer starred in a brand new musical production of the hit show ''Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens'' which was staged at The Venue.
In July 2006, Faye was featured as a guest vocalist for Plastic Cinema for 2 songs: ''Take Me Under'' and ''Any Minute Now''. Later in 2006 she acted in the hit UK tour of musical ''Me and My Girl'' opposite Sylvester McCoy, the film ''Lady Godiva Back in the Saddle'' and appeared in the charity fitness DVD ''The Allstar workout.
Much to the disappointment of some fans Faye has expressed her commitment to the stage rather than a return to the pop industry as a solo artist although recently she was quoted as saying "never say never" to a Steps reunion.
Tozer has recently finished Dial M for Murder by Frederick Knott. In September 2007, she starts rehearsals for the musical ''Over the Rainbow, the Eva Cassidy Story'' playing Eva Cassidy. The show will tour theatres in the UK in October and November 2007, and again between February and May 2008. She will also appear in the Pantomime ''Alladin'' at Theatre Royal, Newcastle in December 2007 and January 2008.
