My Old Kentucky Home

'Federal Hill' is an historic Greek Revival home in Bardstown, Kentucky. The mansion, was built by Judge John Rowan in 1818. Federal Hill is commonly referred to as "My Old Kentucky Home". Tradition has it that Stephen Foster, Judge Rowan's cousin, wrote the now official Kentucky song, My Old Kentucky Home while staying at Federal Hill.
The restored mansion is part of the My Old Kentucky Home State Park in Nelson County, Kentucky and is open for public tours.

The mansion is featured on the Kentucky State Quarter, as well as a Thoroughbred racehorse. To the right of the stately mansion, an inscription on the coin reads "My Old Kentucky Home."
