FEET PER SECOND
'Feet per second' (Or 'foot per second') is a unit of both speed (scalar) and velocity (vector quantity, e.g. 3ft/s west). It expresses the distance in feet (''ft'') traveled or displaced, divided by the time in seconds (''s'', or ''sec'').The equivalent SI unit is the 'Metre per second'.
Abbreviations include 'ft/s', 'ft/sec' and 'fps', although the representation 'ft s-1' is not often used.
