At the
1908 Summer Olympics in
London, four
figure skating events were contested. This took place at the
Prince's Skating Club, in the district of
Knightsbridge. It was the first time that a type of winter sport was ever introduced in the Olympic Games, 16 years before the
first Winter Olympics in
Chamonix.
The competition took place on October 28 and 29, 1908.
No event had more than 7 competitors, with 2 having only 3 entrants.
