FRANCOFONTE

'Francofonte' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Syracuse in the Italian region Sicily, located about 170 km southeast of Palermo and about 40 km northwest of Syracuse. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 12,684 and an area of 74.0 km².^[1]
Francofonte borders the following municipalities: Buccheri, Carlentini, Lentini, Militello in Val di Catania, Vizzini.
