FRANCONIA-SPRINGFIELD (WASHINGTON METRO)
'Franconia-Springfield' is a Washington Metro station in Springfield, Virginia, on the Blue Line. It is the southwestern terminus of the Blue Line.
The station serves a suburban area and is mostly used for commuters, with 5,069 spaces in Metro's biggest parking garage. It is located at Franconia-Springfield Parkway and Frontier Drive, and it is considered to be a major transit hub, with the Virginia Railway Express, Metrobus, and local and regional bus lines all present. Service began on June 29, 1997.
