FRAXINUS DIPETALA
'''Fraxinus dipetala''' is a species of ash tree which is endemic to California. It is known as the 'California ash' or the 'two-petal ash'. It is a deciduous tree or tall shrub with light to dark green foliage and sweet-scented hanging fluffy clusters of white flowers. Each leaf generally has either five or seven leaflets which are each 1-2 inches long and finely serrated along the edges. The fruit is a long, flat samara which is green when immature and hangs in plentiful bunches. Each flower has two white lobe-shaped petals.
Like other ashes, this tree is susceptible to emerald ash borer.
