FRISCO HIGH SCHOOL

'Frisco High School' is a high school located in Frisco, Texas, part of the Frisco Independent School District.
The school's mascot is the raccoon, and its colors are blue and gold. (The mascot was originally simply the Coon, and later the Fighting Coon. However, since "coon" is considered a racial slur, in order to keep the mascot the name was changed to Raccoon.)
Around 1700 students are enrolled for 2006-2007 at Frisco High, the lowest number since originally opening. As a result of the fast-growing population in Frisco (estimated at about 83,000 in 2006 from a population of 33,714 during the 2000 census, Frisco Centennial High School was opened in 2003 and two additional high schools, Liberty and Wakeland, have opened for the 2006-2007 school year.
