'GAZ-12 ZIM' is a limousine produced at the GAZ from 1950 till 1960. Around 22 000 were made. 'ZIM' abbreviation stands for '''Z'avod 'I'meni 'M'olotova'', which reflects the part of factory's official name at the time.
At least three ZIM cars has been rebuilt for usage on narrow gauge railways. Two of them are still in use.
