'Gardena High School' is a public secondary school located in Gardena, California.
GHS, which serves grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
GHS serves the city of Gardena.

GHS opened in 1907 [1].
In Spring 1956, the junior high school classes stayed at the old Gardena High School while the high school classes moved into a new building. Up until the opening of the new Gardena High School, high school students held morning shifts, while junior high school students held afternoon shifts [2]. The junior high is now known as Peary Middle School.
On February 6, 2002, several men shot a 16-year old student and a 19-year old student outside of the school during a robbery attempt. Both students survived their injuries [3].
