Location
The station is located in a unusual position in between both Nepean Highway and Martin Street rail overpasses. Shops are located near the station.
Facilities
The station consists of two elevated side platforms. Platform 1 contains a large weatherboard building while platform 2 contains a small weatherboard building. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes, coins and debit cards. A small Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 2.
Both platforms can be accessed via Nepean Highway and Martin Street.
History
Gardenvale station originally opened on Monday, 10th December 1906.
