While attending an all-girls boarding school, she took part in junior international tennis competitions[1], representing England. She then studied Broadcast Journalism at the University of Leeds, graduating with a 2:1 in 1999.[2]

Career


After graduating, Thompson worked as a production assistant on a research and production scheme for GMTV before moving to Sky Sports in January 2001.
She has covered many major sporting events for the network since then, including the US Open Tennis and is the main anchor for Sky's coverage of A1 Grand Prix and Grand Prix Masters. [3]
She is a main presenter of Sky Sports News, presenting the segment 'Afternoon Report' frequently.
She also presented the Race Off and Final of the Speedway World Cup from Leszno in Poland, for Sky Sports.
Thompson also had a brief career in the world of adult cinema when she and her former partner tried to break into the amateur pornography industry by releasing a self shot home porno. Rumours are abound that it exists on the internet but Miss Thompson confirmed she has the only copy which is the copy the porno industry insiders got to see. Nobody quite knows why film distributors turned their backs on the video, but one insider was quoted as saying: "thats some of the nastiest s

Along with an active interest in tennis her other interests include wild fowl, cheese and supporting Fulham F.C. and Formula 1.
