'Gerald Thomas' (b. 10 December 1920 in Hull, Yorkshire - 9 November 1993) was an English film director, born in Hull. Despite a fairly varied early career, Thomas is almost exclusively remembered as the director of some 31 ''Carry On'' films, the innuendo-laden British comedy series, beginning with ''Carry On Sergeant'' in 1958.
His brother, Ralph Thomas, was also a film director.
