GIBIBYTE
A 'gibibyte' (a contraction of 'gi'ga 'bi'nary 'byte') is a unit of information or computer storage, abbreviated 'GiB'[1].
: 1 gibibyte = 230 bytes = 1,073,741,824 bytes = 1,024 mebibytes
The gibibyte is closely related to the gigabyte, which can either be a (deprecated) synonym for gibibyte, or refer to 109 bytes = 1,000,000,000 bytes, depending on context (see binary prefix).
