History

Glendora High School was built in 1958 on the land owned by Mr. Clarks Gordon. The land on which GHS was constructed contained multitudes of oak trees which still grace the school ground to this day. The first graduating class of GHS was in 1959 and contained 188 students. At this ceremony the Alma Mater was first heard. The traditional oak trees standing on the campus symbolize the heritage of Tartan strength and endurance. "Hail Glendora, Hail to Thee".
