GLENVILLE, CLEVELAND

Glenville is a neighborhood in the Eastern section of Cleveland, Ohio. Until the 1940s Glenville was predominantly Jewish. Since then, however, there has been a shift and today Glenville is predominantly African-American. Glenville has since been one of Cleveland's most well known and troubled sections of the city having suffered issues pretaining to racial rioting, urban decay, and similar issues.
