GLENWOOD, NEW SOUTH WALES
'Glenwood' is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in the Hills District, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is considered to be "Gateway to the Hills District" because it is close to Norwest, Kellyville and Baulkham Hills, yet also close to Blacktown. It has its own shopping centre, park, High School called Glenwood High and two Public Schools called Caddies creek public and Parklea Public
The suburb takes its name from an historic property in the area, named Glenwood Park in the 1940s, but previously known as Norfolk Vale (1846 - 1882), and Sorrento (1882 - 1941). It was formally recognised as a suburb in 1996.
Surrounding suburbs include Kellyville, Kings Langley, Bella Vista, Stanhope Gardens and Acacia Gardens.
