GOVERNOR OF BRUSSELS-CAPITAL
The 'Governor of Brussels-Capital' (French: ''Gouverneur de Bruxelles-Capitale'', Dutch: ''Gouverneur van Brussel-Hoofdstad'') has the responsibility to enforce laws concerned with public order, in the Brussels-Capital Region, one of the three regions of Belgium. The governor's powers are actually quite limited.
The Governor of Brussels-Capital should neither be confused with the Minister-President of the Brussels-Capital Region nor with the mayor of the City of Brussels, which is one of the 19 municipalities of Brussels.
★ André Degroeve, January 1, 1995 - April 30, 1998
★ Raymonde Dury, May 1998 - November 3, 1998 (she resigned)
