GREAT DOUK CAVE

'Great Douk Cave' is a cave of debouchure on the NW side of Ingleborough, North Yorkshire, UK. It is on the SE side of a collapsed cave, into which there is a public footpath. The waterfall can be climbed and the main passage followed until it emerges among the limestone pavement at Middle Washfold. This through trip is a simple Grade I caving exercise, suitable for novices, although there is a low crawl at the end, which is escaped by a hole in the roof ("just as all seems lost").
