GREAT MIGRATION

'Great Migration' can refer to any one of several different historical migrations of people, including:

★ the 'migration period' of Europe, also called the 'Barbarian Invasions', between 300 and 700 C.E..

★ The 'Great Serb Migrations' from the Ottoman Empire to the Habsburg Monarchy, in 1690 and 1737.

★ The 'Great Migration (Puritan)' of Puritans from England to what is now the Northeastern United States, the Chesapeake Bay, and the Caribbean during the 1630s.

★ The 'African American Great Migration', from the southern United States to the northern United States during the 20th century.

★ The 'Great Transatlantic Migration' of 1870-1914, a voluntary mass migration of European poor to the American continent.

★ The fictional 'Great Migrations' of the Oeridians and Suloise in the ''World of Greyhawk'' campaign setting for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' role-playing game.
