GREATEST HITS (JAMES TAYLOR ALBUM)
'''Greatest Hits''' is singer-songwriter James Taylor's eighth album, and the best-selling album of his career.
Released on November 1, 1976, the album featured newly recorded versions of "Carolina in My Mind" and "Something in the Way She Moves" and a 1975 live version of "Steamroller". Although the album did not rise higher than number 23 on the Billboard albums chart, it still holds the second longest tenure of any album (trailing only Pink Floyd's ''Dark Side of the Moon'') with a total of 573 weeks (over 11 years) on that chart. ''Greatest Hits'' has sold over 11,000,000 copies certifying it as a platinum album eleven times over, and a diamond album once (for 10 million copies).
