GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

'Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport' , also known as 'GSP International Airport', is a public airport located 3 miles (5 km) south of Greer, serving Greenville and Spartanburg in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Attempts are under way to draw a low-cost carrier such as Southwest Airlines or Airtran Airways to the airport. Similar or competing airports in the region include Charleston International Airport in Charleston; Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro; and McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville. The airport is often seen as an alternative for travelers to Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and Charlotte's Douglas International Airport.
