GUIDES AUSTRALIA


'Guides Australia' is the national Guiding organisation in Australia. Founded in 1911, the girls-only organization became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1928. It has 30,811 members (as of 2003).

All youth members form 5-18 are known as Guides. Adults aged 18-30 can join the Olave Program. Guide Leaders are adult volunteers aged 18 or over.
The Girl Guide emblem incorporates elements of the flag of Australia.
