H.E. HOLMES (MARTA STATION)
'H.E. Holmes' is an above-ground station in the MARTA rail system. This is the third busiest station in the MARTA system, handling an average of 22,000 boardings per weekday. When the station opened in 1979 it was knowned as 'Hightower Station' for the old Hightower Road but was renamed to honor civil-rights hero Hamilton E. Holmes and serves areas near where I-20 hits S.R. 280 east of Adamsville.
