HD 136118
(Redirected from HD 136118 b)
'HD 136118' is a star in the constellation Serpens. It is yellow-white dwarf and magnitude 7.
In 2002, a very massive planet was announced orbiting the star.
'HD 136118 b' is a massive extrasolar planet or small brown dwarf. The lower limit on its mass is only slightly less than the deuterium-burning threshold that some astronomers use to distinguish between planets and brown dwarfs. Depending on the inclination of its orbit, the actual mass could be above this limit.
