HMS DARTMOUTH

At least four ships of the Royal Navy have been named 'HMS ''Dartmouth'''.

''Dartmouth'' was a small frigate or fifth-rate ship built in 1655 and wrecked in the Sound of Mull in 1690.

★ ''Dartmouth'' was a 48 gun warship built in 1693. She was captured by France in 1695, recaptured in 1702, and renamed ''Vigo''. She was wrecked in 1703.

★ ''Dartmouth'' was a 42 gun ship built in 1698 and broken up in 1714 for rebuild.
