Hannagan Meadow Lodge
Hannagan Meadow Lodge was established in 1926 due to the construction of the Clifton to Springerville highway, known today as the Coronado trail. It is named after Robert Hannagan a Nevada miner and cattle rancher during the 1870's. The lodge was named after Hannagan won a coin flip with Toles Cosper upon discovering the meadow during the 1870's. This was the second discovery as the area is believed to have been traveled by the explorer Coronado in the 1540's. The lodge offers numerous rental cabins, rooms for rent and a general store. At 9100 ft. the Lodge is the highest point in Arizona to be inhabited throughout the entire year.
