HAPLOGROUP Y (MTDNA)

In human mitochondrial genetics, 'Haplogroup Y' is a human mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) haplogroup.
Haplogroup Y was found in South Siberian populations with a frequency of less than 3%.[1] However, this haplogroup was found with high frequency among the Ainu and the Nivkhi.
