HARVARD-YENCHING INSTITUTE
'Harvard-Yenching Institute' (哈佛燕京å¸ç¤¾) is an independent institute jointly founded by Harvard University and Yenching University in 1928 for the higher education of humanity and social science of East Asia and Southeast Asia. It was initially funded by Charles Martin Hall. The institute is financially and legally independent in spite of her close connection with the two universities. The institute supports East Asia Studies through the Harvard-Yenching Library.
