Middle School

The Hebron Baptist Church has a very popular Middle School Ministry which is known as 316- named after both the verse in the bible, , and the highway located near Hebron, SR-316.

History

Hebron began as a small town church in 1842. At the time, the congregation was no larger than a few families, as were most country churches. Hebron was rebuilt in the 1970's to accommodate the somewhat larger town. The church had several pastors until June of 1978 when Larry Wynn took up the post. Pastor Wynn has now been with Hebron for 28 years, and recently made the statement, "From Hebron to Heaven," in regards to his near resignation. Over time, the church has grown to a listed membership nearing 12,000.
The church has expanded from a small plot in the town of Dacula, Georgia to also have an adequately sized cemetery, three main parking lots, six baseball fields, two gymnasiums, and the purchase of a local Christian school to be renamed Hebron Christian Academy.
Recently, the church sponsored two little league baseball teams (13 and 14 yrs) that won two separate tournaments in the South, each with an 8-0 record. The teams were honored as "World Series" champions during service on August 6, 2006, although neither tournament was the recognized "Little League World Series."
