HELENA BREWERS
The 'Helena Brewers' are a minor league baseball team located in Helena, Montana. The "Brew Crew," as the are nicknamed, compete in the Pioneer League. They finished 34-42 in the season, placing third in the Pioneer League. They are currently managed by Jeff Isom, and are affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers. Their home games are played at Kindrick Field. One of the best-known players who played for Helena is Gary Sheffield; he started his professional career playing for the Gold Sox in .

The Helena Phillies joined the Pioneer League in , giving Helena a professional baseball team for the first time in 64 years. In , after a year when Helena had no team, the Helena Gold Sox won the Pioneer League championship. The team name changed to the Helena Brewers in . Helena won their league in back to back seasons in and . Brewers baseball went on until the end of the season, when the the Major League Brewers changed their affiliate to the Ogden Raptors. After two seasons, they renewed their affiliation with Helena in .
