Description

Formerly a space shuttle engineer for NASA, Henry is a jack-of-all-trades in the true sense of the word. He's the local mechanic for the town, which he simply does for fun, and is constantly inventing all sorts of devices. His devices tend to explode, malfunction, or otherwise misbehave in the trial stages, so much so in fact that any strange occurrence is usually attributed to him.
In "Before I Forget," Henry is reunited with a lost love, Kim Anderson.
Aside from his mechanic job, he also performs most of the civil service jobs for the police department. He acts as both a forensic investigator and the coroner for Eureka, but he seems to have a new patch designating him as "Ballistics" or "Coroner", depending on the situation or problem at hand. In "H.O.U.S.E. Rules," it was revealed Henry was at some point Nathan Stark's teacher.
He seems to have a small pocket notebook to record anything interesting or groundbreaking that is going on in the show, for example, when the "Figure" is seen on the SARAH video tapes.
In the final moments of ''"Purple Haze"'', Henry makes an announcement during a town meeting that leaves Jack Carter and Allison Blake stunned — he has decided that it is time for him to leave Eureka, he later realizes how much the town needs him and decides to remain.
In "Once in a Lifetime," Henry goes back in time to save Kim after an accident involving "the Artifact". This results in an alternate future, which eventually de-stabilizes and could cause the universe to unravel. Jack has to sacrifice the happy life he has built to go back in time and stop Henry, which he does.
At the end of "Phoenix Rising," he erases Jack's memory of the alternate future with a modified version of his short-term memory device, originally seen in "Before I Forget." While Henry tells Jack he will use the same procedure on himself, instead he smashes the device to pieces, leaving us with a very cryptic message: "I will never forget." Applying for a job at Global Dynamics, Henry is completely aware of the life he lived in the four years after Kim's death. The events in "Once in a Lifetime" occurred only after Henry saved Kim and was prevented by Jack. The current timeline is therefore closer to his memories than the events recalled by Jack and by erasing Jack's memories he has removed a source of disruption.
However, Henry knows how he traveled back to Kim's death and that it did give him four years with her. The only question is how he can prevent the collapse of the timeline and how he can stop Jack from interfering again.
