HENRY MINETT

'Henry Minett' (1857-December 20 1952) was a United States Navy Captain who was acting-Commandant (and therefore acting-Governor) of American Samoa from December 16 1902 to May 5 1903. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1876. He retired in 1905. At his death, in Asheville, North Carolina, he was the oldest living graduate of the United States Naval Academy.
